Your child’s first visit to the dentist can be scary for both children and their parents. Here is what to expect at Govani Dental on your child’s first visit.

Video Transcript

Dr. Eric Childs, DDS: In recent years the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry has recommended that as soon as your child’s first tooth comes in, that’s the time to go see your dentist. Now, we’re not going to put your child through a bunch of rigorous cleaning and an exam and flossing and trying to force them and make their experience miserable but we want to educate you as parents or as caregivers. We want to have your child get as comfortable as possible in the dental chair so that when they do get to a point where they have all of their teeth, they’re ready to come in and they’re excited to come in to the dentist. Each experience builds on the last and all we try to do is make your child comfortable and help you understand how to best take care of their teeth.
