(Oshkosh, Wis.)— Dr. Shaheda Govani, owner of Govani Dental, has been inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, a prominent international dental organization dedicated to advancing the profession.
A committee of Wisconsin dentists nominated Govani for Fellowship into the academy based on her contributions to her profession and community. She was officially inducted Friday during the annual meeting of the Pierre Fauchard Academy Wisconsin Section in Stevens Point.
“It is truly an honor to have been chosen by my peers to be a member of this prestigious academy,” Dr. Govani said. “I have so much respect for academy members who serve as role models in our profession. I am excited to join them in their efforts.”
The Pierre Fauchard Academy, named for the “father of dentistry,” organized in 1936. Since its inception, members have worked to advance dentistry around the world by improving their professional knowledge and service. Nominations are based on past accomplishments and expected future contributions to dentistry.
